This system has been implemented to protect both our members and paying day visitors. It allows for easy identification of those who are abusing the honesty system which used to be in place.
Walkhaven is open all week – on arrival please ensure you pay your entrance at the Honesty Box which is located at the wooden hut by the entrance.
We do not charge for dogs – only humans! Walkhaven is privately owned property. Your entrance is used to maintain our facilities and keep Walk Haven pleasant for all our visitors.
No – your visitors will still need to pay their entrance and wear their wrist bands as proof of payment.
Yes! There are many lovely picnic spots and braai areas around the park that you are welcome to make use of. Please remember though that the tables in the tea-garden area and on the deck are strictly reserved for customers using the bar and kitchen facilities.
The Annual Entrance Option to Walkhaven is available at R840/adult per annum – kids come free with their parents and R480 for pensioners. The annual entrance option was designed for those who visit Walkhaven on a regular basis (two or more times per month) – we have visitors who are at Walkhaven three days of the week! Visitors with annual entrance do not pay entrance fees. All members are issued with a permanent silicone band which can be kept in the car. You can complete our online Annual Entrace Pass application.

No. Walkhaven prides itself on being an off-lead facility. This means that if your dog is not well socialised enough to be off-lead he shouldn’t be at Walkhaven. Due to the fact that all dogs are off-lead they tend to run up to new arrivals to say hello – as you can imagine this causes absolute havoc with everyone involved.
We recommend that you do not bring your pup along to Walkhaven until such time that they have had their second booster shots from your veterinary clinic. Puppies are particularly susceptible to certain viruses as their immune systems are not yet fully developed.
Yes. If you have forgotten to bring your own poo-bags along, please feel free to help yourself to the bags in the bar and on the deck area.
