COVID-19 UPDATE
Walkhaven is a private business and venue, therefore we will remain open whilst observing the new level 4 restrictions (masks at all times and social distancing).
The restaurant will be open for take-out only from Thursday to Sunday and all public holidays from 8.30am to 4.30pm – you are welcome to find a lovely spot in the park to sit and enjoy your meal.
You are also welcome to use our braai areas or bring your own food and refreshments along but strictly no gatherings or large groups.
Please help us to stay open by complying with the regulations. We look forward to seeing you here 🙂

Are you tired of the decrease of open parkland and the ever increasing restrictions placed on dog owners? Well then, Walkhaven Dog Park was created with you and your family in mind!
Walkhaven Dog Park is situated in the Muldersdrift area right next to the Cradle of Humankind on 22 hectares of rolling grassland. We have two large dams surrounded by lush wetland that is home to a large variety of our feathered friends. Braai and picnic facilities are strategically placed throughout the park. Alternatively allow one of our friendly waiters to help you choose from our pub or pizza menu and enjoy your lunch under the shady trees in our tea garden area with your best friend by your side.
OPERATING HOURS
The park will be open everyday (including Christmas day) (check seasonal closing times and ensure you leave premises accordingly.)
The Dog Box Restaurant and Pizza Mutt are open every Friday to Sunday and Public Holiday, except for Christmas day to allow our staff a well deserved break.

May- September: 7am to 5:30pm

Day visitor fees to the park R40 per adult and R25 per child or pensioner.
PAYMENTS:
Mon – Fri : Cash or Zapper. (honesty box at entrance hut or on deck at restaurant)
Weekends : Credit Card, Zapper or Cash
For regular visitors an annual entrance fee is available at a cost of R1080 per adult per annum calculated pro-rata as follows:
